Undergraduate Learning Assistant for Microbiology Courses

Undergraduate Learning Assistants help students learn!

Students may do a variety of tasks listed below and gain valuable experience in the classroom

  • Attend lectures and lab sessions
  • Attend inclusive pedagogy trainings/ seminars
  • Hold weekly office hours
  • Liaison between students and professor
  • Creation of active learning activities
  • Host review sessions
  • Complete assigned grading
  • Developing & presenting a lectures

 

*Please reach out to a faculty member in the department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology for whom you would like to be a ULA for.  Must have previously taken the course before being able to serve as a ULA. 

 

Number of Positions: 3 positions for summer- up to 10 positions for fall semester.

Start Date: 5/13/2024
Pay rate: $15.00/hr

Estimated 100 hrs over the course of the semester.
