Marketing & Social Media Intern (Work-Study)

Summary: Work collaboratively with Poudre School District's Talent Team to support the branding initiatives of PSD recruitment efforts throughout the year.

 

This is an off-campus work study position; applicant must be eligible work-study award to apply.

Description of Job Tasks:

1.    Collaborate with the Talent Team to implement innovative outreach initiatives to reach potential new job applicants. L, TW, C, GC, CT/PS

2.    Promote PSD job openings by creating digital assets for the use of online and social media distribution. DP, V/WC, PA, TW, L, C, CD

3.    Work collaboratively with the Talent Team to manage PSD Human Resources branded social media platforms and content, implementing comprehensive promotion and engagement strategies for PSD’s employee recruitment strategies. . DP, V/WC, PA, TW, L, C, CD

4.    Design and produce publications, reports, brochures, and other marketing materials using PSD’s branding guidelines DP, V/WC, PA, TW, L, C, CD, CT/PS

5.    Research, write and publish stories and photographs about PSD Human Resources and recruitment campaigns to various stakeholders DP, V/WC, PA, TW, L, C, CD, CT/PS

6.    Design and maintain department newsletters DP, V/WC, PA, TW, L, C, SR

7.    Attend work and arrive in a timely manner. PA

8.    Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·      Must be a current CSU student

·      Must be eligible for work-study award for the 2024-2025 school year (If you have questions regarding your work-study eligibility, please email studentemployment@colostate.edu)

·      Must be able to fully support Poudre School District’s mission and vision

·      Majoring in marketing, digital media, journalism, public relations, graphic design, communications or related field (preferred)

·      Knowledge in social media management, strategy, content creation and management; knowledge of integrated communication plans (preferred)

·      Skill level/interest in storytelling, digital content creation, and news writing/editing

·      Demonstrate excellent guest service and interpersonal relations skills

·      Be self-motivated and skilled at working independently and as a team member

·      Strong organizational skills

·      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Canva

·      Oral and written communication skills

·      Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job

·      Ability to manage multiple priorities and pay attention to detail

·      Must be available to work during fall and spring semester

Start Date: August 2024

Schedule: 10-15 hours/week (will work with class schedule)
