Business Operations Intern

Calling all detail-oriented data wizards and accuracy crusaders! We're seeking a Business Operations Intern to join our vibrant team in Boise, Idaho and take the reins on a variety of critical tasks, from mastering data entry to managing Accounts Payable with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable Ace: Dive deep into the world of vendor invoices! You'll be responsible for:
    • Entering invoices with a hawk-eye for accuracy and completeness.
    • Filing backup documentation meticulously and ensuring proper organization.
    • Preparing batch reports for review by the Controller, contributing to smooth financial processes.
    • Assisting with other Accounts Payable tasks as needed.
  • Financial Flow Expert: Track client payments like a pro! You'll handle:
    • Recording payments from clients promptly and accurately.
    • Making remote deposits with confidence and ensuring timely recording.
    • Reconciling bank statements, detecting and resolving discrepancies with finesse.
  • Data Mastermind: Conquer the data mountains! You'll tackle:
    • Entering, classifying, and reconciling credit card transactions with precision.
    • Reviewing employee expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
    • Performing general data entry and administrative duties with skill and speed.
  • Tech-Powered Data Dynamo:  Dive into our new CRM tool! You'll play a crucial role in:
    • Entering and managing contact information for clients, partners, prospects, and friends of WestWater.
    • Maintaining data integrity and organization within the system.
  • Team Player Extraordinaire: Be a supportive teammate and lend a hand wherever needed! You'll:
    • Provide general support to the team, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
    • Embrace additional duties as assigned and demonstrate flexibility in taking on ad-hoc projects.
  • Growth & Development: Gain valuable hands-on experience in business operations, sharpen your data management skills, and deepen your understanding of Accounts Payable processes. This internship offers a gateway to professional growth and the opportunity to embark on a rewarding career journey at WestWater.

 

Requirements / Desired Qualifications

  • Essential:
    • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to data accuracy.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and eager to learn new software tools.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Optional:
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles a plus (though not required).
    • Experience with Financial software, such as NetSuite and/or OpenAir.
    • Experience with CRM tools, such as HubSpot.

 

Internship/Job Timeframe

Part-time (P/T), expecting 10-20 hours per week. Available to start immediately or at the beginning of the fall 2024 semester. Opportunity to continue through Spring 2025 semester. 

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional interns who demonstrate consistently strong performance and a passion for our mission may be offered a full-time position upon successful completion of the program.
