The Balmoral Group is seeking motivated students with an interest in economics, policy, data science and grants management, for an Economics summer intern position to support our Economics team in our Winter Park, Florida office.  

Economic interns will gain real world experience as they develop professional working knowledge of industry methods, procedures, and standards while working for our professional Economics Team. 

Economic interns are responsible for performing a variety of entry level economist tasks including data collection, data analysis, tabulation of charts, graphs and exhibits to support economic analysis, literature review, and policy research related to various projects. Examples include work for the Florida Wildlife Corrido, a Cost Benefit analysis for Monroe County Natural resources, a statewide review of resource allocation at Special Districts (mosquito control districts), statewide DEP Resiliency mapping of critical assets, economic analysis for a Habitat Conservation Plan in Amelia Island, transportation statistics/construction cost modeling for several clients and econometric modeling of housing premiums.
