Data Analyst Intern

Job Summary

The Data Analyst Intern will support the IT Department by assisting in data collection, processing, and analysis tasks. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in data analytics, work with experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects.

 

Essential Functions

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.
• Conduct preliminary data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Support the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and requirements.
• Help ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing quality checks.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on data-related projects.
• Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in data analytics.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the IT Manager or Senior Data Analyst.
 

Job Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 
• Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with at least one data analysis tool (e.g., SQL, R, Python).
• Experience with data cleaning/manipulation
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in data analytics.

Environment

  • Hybrid work environment that mixes in-office and remote work to offer flexibility and support to employees. In-office hours are set by group Manager.
  • Work hours are usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
