Motion Graphics Designer/Illustrator
The Rocky Mountain Student Media Corporation (“RMSMC”) at Colorado State University is hiring a Motion Graphics Designer/Illustrator. Join our nationally recognized Creative Services team and gain valuable hands-on experience in a multi-faceted media environment. The Motion Graphics Designer/Illustrator will work closely with RMSMC media departments to create animations and illustrations for various projects.
Required skills and qualifications
+ Proficiency in After Effects
+ Has experience with Illustrator and Photoshop
+ Ideally can illustrate both abstract and concrete concepts
+ Creative flair, originality, and strong visual sense
+ Ability to collaborate with other students and bring their visions to life
+ Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask
+ Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines
Responsibilities
+ Motion graphics and animation for documentaries produced by Tree Stump Films. Work one-on-one with fellow student staff to add additional visual interest to their video work. Depending on the project, this might include title cards, animated infographic information, thematic illustrations, etc.
+ Motion graphics for other RMSMC departments, including CTV, The Collegian, Fifty '03, and the corporate website.
+ Illustrations for both print and digital media produced by RMSMC departments.
+ Position may be asked to help with other design needs not related to motion graphics
Salary, Benefits, and Work Hour Requirements
+Pay: $15 an hour
+Hours: 3 to 5 hours a week, on average
+Work is primarily done when school is in session, though some work over the breaks (including summer)
+Location: Lory Student Center, some remote work is acceptable
+Benefits: Paid sick leave, no other benefits for part time workers
+If student currently does not have Work Study, they may be asked to apply for non-need Work Study for 2025-26 school year.
