Undergraduate Research Assistant
1. Job Description: We are seeking a motivated undergraduate student in Biology, Soil & Crop, Natural Resources, ESS, or related fields to assist our soil science research group in the area of rangeland soil organic matter dynamics. We desire self-motivated, reliable, organized student employees interested in working in a laboratory setting gaining research skills in the area of soil biogeochemistry. The position is are available to start immediately, and is available through the Summer 2025 semester with opportunities to extend on a semesterly basis depending on performance and need. Must be able to work at least an estimated 10 hours per week, on average.
2. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Expected responsibilities entail assistance with soil processing, such as sample sieving, weighing, drying, sorting, and organizing.
3. Required Skills: Attention to detail and consistency with repetitive tasks are requirements of this work. No prior laboratory experience is strictly required but encouraged.
