Plumpton Park Zoo Education Intern Summer 2025
Plumpton Park Zoological Gardens invites applications from college or graduate students majoring in teaching or animal sciences, biology, zoology, wildlife and fisheries management, or related fields for internship positions. Education Interns assist the summer camp staff with basic duties. They will also assist in educational tours and possible education encounters.
The Education Internship is designed to provide hands-on experience to students pursuing careers in the education field. Students participating in this internship program will experience professional education within animal care in a growing and flourishing zoo. Interns have the unique opportunity to participate in almost every aspect of the zoo's educational operations. Interns will be able to help run summer camps, run educational animal feedings, do educational tours, and help with encounters. Please note that the internship does not provide the opportunity to work with our large carnivores or primates. This educational opportunity allows interns to gain insight into education through shadowing and hands-on experience. This position can be full or part-time, seasonal, and it is unpaid. We do not offer housing at this time.
