Job Description

Mustang West Artists is seeking a Social Marketing & Media Assistant to develop and execute marketing strategies across digital and traditional media to promote our mustang photography, handcrafted art, and upcoming events such as Colorado Mustang West Event, scheduled for June 25-29, 2025. 

This collaborative initiative—featuring the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the EQUUS Film Fest, and the Art of the Mustang Art Fair—aims to promote the adoption of mustangs here in Colorado. The intern will assist with event logistics, scheduling, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and develop engaging posts to promote Mustang West Artists, Wildly Painted, and The Art of the Mustang Brand at art fairs.
  • Manage traditional media efforts, including drafting press releases, print ads, and event listings for local publications.
  • Assist with email marketing, website updates, and blog content to enhance engagement.
  • Design and produce graphics, photography, and video content for digital and print use.
  • Research and analyze social and traditional media trends to recommend strategies for brand growth.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, traditional media, and marketing trends.
  • Experience with content creation tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of media outreach, press releases, and print advertising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for Western culture, photography, and event marketing is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (for event setup and materials transport).
  • Comfortable working indoors (office/studio) and outdoors (event locations).
  • Some local travel within Mesa County may be required for events or assignments.
