Graphic Designer/Junior Graphic Designer (short-term)
Duration: up to 40-80 total hours of work
Summary:
This short-term position is responsible for creating unique web content, branding, and infographics that promote the Western Small Flock Collaborative (WSFC). The designer(s) will assist in broadening the audience through web resources while adhering to strict deadlines. The estimated workload is 40–80 hours, which may be extended if needed. We anticipate requiring assistance through April 2025 or longer, depending on project needs. This position reports to Heather Reider.
Responsibilities:
- Design the WSFC visual identity, branding, and iconography.
- Produce infographics, social media posts and design visuals
- Incorporate design feedback from the WSFC team throughout the creative process.
- Collaborate with WSFC team members to integrate content into its website.
- Assist WSFC members with best practices for content creation, front-end web design, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Must be a current, enrolled student at Colorado State University.
- Must be a senior in the College of Liberal Arts Graphic Design program or an equivalent program at CSU.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in branding, marketing, or content design and development
- One year or more of experience in with contemporary design and layout tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Figma.
- Awareness of user experience (UX), website design, layout (a plus, though not mandatory)
- Proficiency in graphic design or demonstrated experience in crafting infographics (preferred)
