Graduate Student Research Assistant - Chicco Lab

Assist graduate student with bench work including Western immunblotting, qPCR and sample preparation

Seeking one self-motivated professional student employee with a genuine interest in research

• Employee will assist with laboratory experiments, attend weekly (virtual) lab meetings and help to maintain a clean and organized laboratory and maintain a safe laboratory environment.

• Experience working in a research laboratory is required,ideally experience with immunblotting, qPCR and related sample preparation (mRNA extractions, protein assays)

•   Work independently and efficiently; use available resources to complete tasks (CT)

•   Use Microsoft Office programs to compile data and write reports (DP)

•   Maintain confidentiality, be punctual, and communicate changes in work schedule (PA)

•   Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines with successful completion of work. Ability to work inclusively in a diverse setting (L, TW)

•   Provide written reports to supervisor and present findings at weekly lab meetings (V/WC)

Hourly rate: $18.00
