The Office of Financial Aid (OFA) is seeking student service representatives for the Client Services Team! The primary role is to provide exceptional customer service to students and guests in person and through email communication. We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented students who possess skills working and communicating with people. A strong customer service background is preferred.

  • Flexible hours Monday through Friday 8:45 am to 5 pm during Fall and Spring terms.
  • 10-15 hours per week during Fall and Spring.
  • Option to work during breaks and some weekends or evenings to support outreach events.
  • Ability to work 20-30 hours per week during the Summer.
  • Anticipated term of employment is a minimum of two years.
  • This is a work-study position. Applicant will be reviewed for work-study eligibility.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties Include:

  • Assist students and families with financial aid, billing, residency, and student employment questions and provide general information about the CSU campus community.
  • Monitor and reply to incoming emails.
  • With experience, represent OFA at fairs and various outreach events.
  • Attend regularly scheduled student meetings.
  • Work independently and efficiently; use available resources to direct guests.
  • Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines with successful completion of work.
  • Assist with other miscellaneous duties as necessary.

Required Skills/Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • A commitment to respecting and supporting all students and their families while working effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Be punctual and communicate changes in work schedule.
