Responsible for supporting the development of the Criminal Justice and Victimization Institute by strengthening stakeholder relationships and creating a virtual collaboration platform connecting practitioners, researchers, and community members. Other responsibilities include: 
- Analyzing data from surveys, interviews, & focus groups 
- Organizing stakeholder engagement events
- Developing a web-based collaboration platform

 

Role and Responsibilities: 

Communications: Assist with building and maintaining relationships with key contacts both within and beyond the university. These tasks include:
· Collecting and organizing contact information from workshop attendees, virtual attendees, and external research centers, as well as attendees from a workshop held by Political Science department faculty last fall. 
· Creating and managing a shared email and serving as a first point of contact for the institute and advisory board
· Sending regular updates to faculty affiliates on institute status, specific needs/opportunities for involvement, and upcoming events


Collaboration platform: Assist in building a virtual collaboration platform for researchers and practitioners. The platform will build partnerships by matching agencies' identified research needs with researchers' specific skills and areas of expertise. Specific tasks include:
· Working with a web developer to design an interactive and accessible platform
· Developing a system for soliciting, collecting, and organizing research/collaboration needs and skills/expertise
· Creating a streamlined channel of communication between researchers and practitioners
· Creating a database to track all partnerships, projects, funding sources, and reports from institute-affiliated research

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

-Masters degree in social sciences or other related field
-Experience working with diverse stakeholders
-Experience with event planning and communications
