Group Sales Intern/Co-Op - Summer 2025 Intern
Overview:
Kings Island is looking for applicants for the Group Sales Event Coordinator. Ideal applicants should have professional communication skills and like to work in a fun and fast-paced environment. This position will work directly with the Group Sales Department on the booking and execution of the Corporate, Youth and Small Group catered and non-catered events. This includes working as a liaison with both internal and external partners on the booking and execution of group sales business. Other responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: fielding incoming calls and inputting reservations into our ticketing and catering systems, being a liaison with the catering department, attending company catered events, completing paperwork/data entry associated with all events, and contacting leads that have been submitted to Kings Island Group Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Attends catered and non-catered events to act as a liaison for the Group Sales Dept. between the client and park catering/operation departments. This includes answering questions, providing solutions, and communicating effectively to ensure the event is successful for all attendees.
- Assists with completing paperwork and data entry pertaining to pre-planning of events, confirming all information is accurate.
- Prepares all paperwork and material required prior to the start of events and completes a checklist on-site to verify readiness for the event.
- Communicates directly with clients to provide detailed information regarding their upcoming event.
- Ensures catering invoices are correct prior to client’s receipt. Work directly with Accounting to ensure proper billing for all catered events.
- Attends interdepartmental meetings pertaining to events to communicate needs of upcoming events and results of past events.
- Assists outside Sales Reps. with administrative duties such as typing posters, creating gift baskets, and other requests as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
