
Scholarships for current or prospective students in Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Healthcare Administration, Entomology, Physician Assistant, and Occupational Therapy.
The Health Services Collegiate Scholarship pays students full-time as they complete a degree in the following programs: Entomology, Healthcare Administration, Physicians Assistant, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health or Public Health, Pharmacy, Audiology, Physiology, Radiation Health, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Psychology, Occupational Health and other health professions or health research fields. Guarantees a Naval Officer position in your specialty for a 3 year contract upon graduation. This includes all pay, benefits, and healthcare coverage during school and during the 3 year active duty obligation. Under the Geneva Convention these specialties are NOT combat deployable. Time in school counts toward a pension and retirement time, meaning selectees are pension eligible after 18 years of service. Entomologists will likely be stationed at the Naval Entomology Center for Excellence (Jax, FL); Occupational Therapist's will likely work with Wounded Warriors in San Diego or Bethesda, MD; Industrial Hygienist's will likely conduct OSHA & safety inspections on Naval vessels and in Naval hospitals; Environmental Health Officer's will likely conduct research and surveillance at the Navy Public Health Center (Portsmouth, VA); Healthcare Administrators & PA's can be worldwide assignable but not to combat locations and will always work in settings using they're degree and skills.
