
Seasonal Grounds Irrigation Tech
Colorado State University Grounds Department is seeking applications for seasonal grounds maintenance work, including: irrigation, mowing, general grounds maintenance, sports field maintenance, flower bed maintenance, and snow removal.
Job Duties – Serve as part of our grounds maintenance team repairing and maintaining our campus irrigation system such as; digging and repairing irrigation lines, valves, sprinklers, etc., shoveling and preparing soils for sod or plantings, litter removal, and other tasks as required. (TW, CT/PS)
Required skills:
- Must be dependable, honest, responsible and able to interact with a diverse campus community.
-Experience maintaining irrigation systems including; digging, troubleshooting and repairing irrigation lines, valves, sprinklers, etc.
- Ability to work outside for duration of work shift; walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending and sitting for long periods of time. Able to lift 50lbs as needed. Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license
Preferred skills:
-Experience operating typical grounds maintenance equipment and tools: Mowers, trimmers, edgers, various hand tools.
