Design and Merchandising Student Staff Assistant and Ambassador

The Department of Design and Merchandising is seeking a dependable student to work part time during the school year assisting and supporting the department, apparel and merchandising, and interior architecture and design faculty. This position needs someone who can multi-task, is self-motivated, able to adapt and be flexible, and is organized, with good written and verbal communication skills. This student may work up to 10 hours a week and be available for the fall and spring semesters. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This position may include helping faculty with research tasks, running errands on campus, helping in the materials library, cleaning department spaces, recruitment and tours, and other duties as assigned. This position must be able to take instruction and work independently or part of a team. This position will be required to give tours to prospective students and families and must work some weekends to help with recruitment events throughout the year.

This position requires weekly check-ins with a supervisor to communicate expectations, upcoming or outstanding job tasks, and track progress.

This position requires a work-study reward.

Hourly Pay Rate: $14.81-$17 per hour
