Dr. Sudeep Pasricha in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a graduate student researcher to assist with research in developing IoT solutions for energy management in water utilities. The successful candidate must be able to work both individually and with others on their team and should be devoted to a learning environment. To excel in this role, you must be self-motivated, be able to multi-task, and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

The position will run from May 26, 2025 – August 22, 2025. The selected student can work up to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

General responsibilities may include: 

  • Collaborate with the PI and other researchers to advance the body of knowledge in IoT for energy monitoring and minimization for water utilities (Digital Proficiency, Inclusive Teamwork, Global Context, Critical Thinking/Problem Solving)
  • Present on research discoveries (Verbal & Written Communication)
  • Apply knowledge from related courses to research (Self‐Reflection, Creativity)
  • Ensure the lab environment is safe and clean (Personal Accountability)
  • Comply with state and university rules and regulations for research labs (Personal Accountability)

 

Position Minimum Requirements 

  • Registered CSU student in good standing with the university
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with embedded/IoT design, programming in C, Java/Kotlin

 

Position Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities
  • Experience with IoT-driven design
  • Proficient in programming using C and Android programming

 

Hourly Pay Rate : $25/hr
