Position Title: Graduate Course Support
Position Summary: The Graduate Course Support role provides essential academic support to faculty by assisting with organizing the course field trip and general assistance during the trip itself. This position is open to current Professional Science Masters in ESS graduate students in good academic standing who have already completed ESS 500.
Department Summary: Ecosystem Science and Sustainability (ESS) is an academic department within the Warner College of Natural Resources. The mission of ESS is to advance understanding, develop and share insight, and provide leadership for decision makers at the forefront of local, regional and global sustainability challenges. Department faculty use state-of-the-art technologies and approaches to provide quality education to future scientists, educators and decision makers, conduct cutting edge interdisciplinary research, and deliver culturally relevant outreach programs that empower our students and the general public locally, nationally, and internationally.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Coordinate with Admin Assistant regarding meals for group
- Driving to Mountain Campus and back
- Providing general support for activities during trip
- Directing students during activities
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a current Professional Science Masters in ESS graduate student enrolled at the university during the term of employment.
- Must be in good academic standing with the University.
- Must have previously taken and completed ESS 500.
- Must be available August 18-22 including willing to stay overnight on the Mountain Campus during the field trip.
- Willingness to pass MVR Background Check to help drive CSU Van to Mountain Campus and back.
Number of weekly working hours: 40
Potential Start date and duration: 8/18/25-8/22/25

Hourly Pay Rate: $20
