I'm about to start my internship at the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services as a civil engineer and am wondering if I'll be working 9-5 hours or longer.

The great thing about the federal government is that the work-life balance is excellence. I typically worked 40 hour work weeks coming in around anytime from 7-830 AM and staying until about 330-430 PM. You don't have to answer any calls or emails after work, and there is no work done outside the office. No weekends as well!
