I really loved being outdoors, in forests, traveling all over the state, camping out, commoraderie, and of course cuttin down trees with a 42" chainsaw!
What I wish was different
I wish it would have been with a actual fire crew, but the AZCC did get me certified and up to speed on everything required to obtain a job with one.
Advice
If you have the opportunity to do it, or have young folks in your life, I would highly recommend the AZCC!

What I liked
Being outdoors, learning about the native plants, doing meaningful work and my crew members were amazing to work with.
What I wish was different
Having a 10 hour work day was tough.
Advice
Buy good hiking shoes, they may be expensive but it is worth it.
